Chunky Guacamole

This recipe for chunky guacamole makes an easy salad or side dish. Only 4 basic ingredients - avocado, tomato, spring onion and lemon.

Prep Time

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 spring onion
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • ground cumin
  • ground black pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocado and the tomato in small cubes.
  2. Mince the spring onion and cilantro leaves.
  3. Mix the chopped vegetables in small bowl.
  4. Add the lemon juice.
  5. Season with a pinch of cumin, salt and pepper.

Note

It can be served as salad or side dish. 


This version of guacamole follows the traditional Mexican style as the mixture must be chunky, not pureed and creamy. Serve it as a side dish or as a filling in tacos or burritos.

Just finished gobbling this up and it was delicious! Way better than shop bought and worth the effort. We didn't have any spring onion so we used a red onion and it worked just as well!
