- 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
- 10-20 fresh mint leaves
- 2 liters water
- 10-12 ice cubes
- Wash the cucumber and peel off the skin, if desired. Slice it thinly and add it to a pitcher.
- Carefully wash the mint leaves. If you want stronger mint flavor, slice the mint into narrow ribbons, or if you prefer better presentation, keep them whole. Add to the pitcher.
- Pour water into the pitcher, add some ice and allow it to chill before serving.
The same cucumber slices and mint leaves can be used for a second batch of detox water.
So I’m kind of having a detox moment with cucumber mint water.
Just imagine a giant glass pitcher filled up with ice cold water wherein super thin slices of cucumber float . That, my friends, is basically an open invitation for any and all of your fresh summer herbs. Today I am opening the detox-water-season with freshly picked mint leaves from my little herb garden on the balcony.
Carefully wash the fresh mint leaves. If you prefer stronger mint flavor, you can slice the leaves into ribbons or leave them whole for better look.
Combine the fresh mint with thinly sliced cucumber and ice cubes, add water and there you have it - your cucumber mint detox water!
